But please note, 1920s attire is merely encouraged and not a requirement! We just want you to come and enjoy yourself.


1920s Fashion Trends for Women

  • Below-knee length drop-waist dresses with a loose, straight fit

  • Beaded evening dresses inspired by “flappers”

  • Mary Jane or T-strap heel shoes

  • Casual sport golf knickers, argyle socks, blouse and tie

  • Cocoon fur coats and fringe wraps

  • Cloche hats and short bobbed hairstyles

  • Bead or feather headbands for evenings

  • Long pearl necklaces, bold Art Deco colors, faux gemstones

  • Small beaded purses 


1920s Fashion Trends for Men

  • High crown fedoras, rolled edge Homburgs and straw hats like the Boater, Skimmer or Panama in the summer. Young men sometimes paired caps with their suits instead of felt hats.

  • Tuxedoes and upper class suites

  • Gangster (Capone or Peaky Blinders-inspired) or bootlegger suit

  • Summer suits, including seersuckers, white suits, or even boating attire

  • Black striped suit or “zoot suit”

  • Wingtips, saddle shoes, or cap toes with brown and cream patterns, OR a solid pair of black or brown wingtips will look dapper when worn with a pair of white shoe spats, too
